Bourbon Cherry Bomb

Updated: Feb 2, 2023

Made, written & photographed by the creators of the Point

We bought a bottle of bourbon for a different recipe - coming soon! - and decided to try it in an actual cocktail. You would think this is a sweet drink, but it actually balances out for a great combination.

Luckily, we have a whole bottle of bourbon to use for a whole lotta Bourbon Cherry Bombs!

Bourbon Cherry Bombs

makes 1 cocktail

Instructions:

  • 1/3 cup frozen cherries, slightly thawed

  • 1.5 oz bourbon

  • 1 tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup

  • 1 teaspoon almond extract, vanilla can be substituted

  • Lemon juice

  • Ice

  • Sprite, or other club soda

Instructions:

  1. Begin by muddling the first 5 ingredients, 1/3 cup cherries, 1.5 oz bourbon, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1 teaspoon almond extract, and a squirt of lemon juice. You could also use the end of a wooden spoon, just make sure to break up your cherries and get all ingredients incorporated.

  2. Add ice to your cup, and top with Sprite, or other club soda.

  3. Enjoy!
