Date Night Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers are that classic Supper Club dessert drink that everyone loves. Personally, my favorite part is the chunks of chocolate chips!

 

Date Night Grasshoppers

makes 2 drinks

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz crème de cacao

  • 1.5 oz crème de menthe green

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream

  • splash of white milk

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

  • Chocolate syrup

  • Whipped topping

Instructions:

  1. Begin by chopping your chocolate chips into almost a dust. If you have a strong enough blender or food processor, that may work but ours was still too large to fit through the straw without chopping by hand. Set aside.

  2. In your blender or food processer, add your 1.5oz crème de cacao, 1.5oz crème de menthe and 2 cups vanilla ice cream. Pulse until the ice cream is smooth and combined.

  3. Add in white milk until it gets to a drinkable consistency - 1 to 2 tablespoons.

  4. Finish by blending with your chopped chocolate until it is evenly combined.

  5. To garnish, drizzle chocolate syrup on the sides of your glasses. Pour the Grasshopper mixture evenly into both glasses. Top with Whipped Cream and additional syrup. Enjoy!
