Freshly Squeezed Lemonade

What better way to bring a warm day to a close? Get your muscles out and start squeezing your lemons because trust me it is worth it!


Freshly Squeezed Lemonade

serves 6


  • 1 1/3 cup sugar

  • 5 cups water

  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

  • 1 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (8 to 9 large lemons)


  1. Begin by combining 1 1/3 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and lemon zest in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat.

  2. Stir in your fresh lemon juice and remaining water. Refrigerate until cold and serve with ice and extra lemon slices!
