Wisconsin Beer Cheese Dip

This dip is the essence of Wisconsin. Everyone here has had beer cheese dip, but have you made it? I 100% think anyone can make this recipe. It's super simple but so impressive. Serve with some soft pretzel bites and it will be a hit at your next party.


Wisconsin Beer Cheese Dip

Total Time: 10 minutes


  • 2 8-oz. cream cheese blocks room temp

  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix

  • 2 cup cheddar cheese plus more to top

  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup light beer

  • green onions chopped


  1. Begin by mixing cream cheese, ranch dip mix, and cheddar cheese in a large bowl.

  2. Slowly add beer – taste in-between additions to see if you'd like more or less.

  3. Spread into a serving dish. Top with green onions and additional cheese.
