What's better than homemade meatballs and a big side of pasta??

This recipe has a decent amount of ingredients, but none of them are too fancy. The best part is when you realize they all get combined and baked and BAM! it's done.

Serve with some pasta and a side salad for a complete dinner.

Meatball Parmesan Casserole

serves 6

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 lb Italian ground pork

  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tablespoons onion powder

  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups marinara sauce

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  1. Begin by preheating oven to 350F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray and set aside.

  2. Grab a large bowl and combine the first 9 ingredients (through the salt and pepper). Use your hands to fully combine all ingredients with the ground meats.

  3. Once all seasonings are evenly distributed, begin to shape into 24 meatballs and place into your prepared dish. Make sure to keep them even in size so they cook for the same amount of time.

  4. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until cheese is golden and the inside of the middle row of meatballs is 160F.

  5. Remove from the oven and rest for a few minutes before serving. Add some pasta to the mix for delicious pasta dish!

  6. Keep leftovers refrigerated.
