Creamy Spinach

When trying to to take your meal to the next level, leafy greens are a great place to start! The deep green brings a second layer of color and the spinach itself makes the meal just a little lighter. Add some cream to the spinach and you have us hooked!


Creamy Spinach

serves 2


  • 10 0z baby spinach

  • 2 garlic cloves minced

  • 2 teaspoons butter

  • 2 teaspoons flour

  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a microwave safe bowl, add your spinach and garlic. Stir it a bit and them place in microwave until wilted (1 to 2 minutes). Set aside.

  2. Grab a large saucepan and melt your butter over medium heat. While continuously stirring, add your flour and cook for about 30 seconds to a minute.

  3. Add in your evaporated milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Stir constantly until thickened, take about 3 minutes. Taste test and add more seasonings if you'd like.

  4. Add your spinach and garlic to the cream and toss until well coated and hot.

  5. Adjust seasonings again and then serve!
